COVID Policy

COVID Health & Safety Policy

In response to the COVID pandemic, it has been essential for us all to implement, respond and adhere to a new set of safety guidelines. Our health and safety is paramount.

In line with the current Government guidelines and acknowledging the guidance issued by Public Health England (PHE) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), these are the current Physio For Pets Health & Safety Policy Guidelines:-

  • Once your vet has referred your pet for physiotherapy we will be happy to arrange with you either a face to face or virtual appointment session.
  • Also a form with triage questions for COVID (we will forward), needs to be completed before your first face to face appointment.
  • During face to face appointments, I will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE: includes face mask, gloves and apron) as guided by PHE and the CSP.
  • Inside the Clinic as a client you will need to wear a face mask – ideally that you will bring. The Clinic can supply 3-ply masks if required. Please let me know if you have any queries you would like to discuss regarding face masks. The Clinic will also provide hand sanitisers.
  • The Clinic has the right to take the temperature of yourself (client) on arrival. This will be done using a non-contact / remote infrared thermometer. Any evidence of a high temperature greater than 37.8 degrees C, the face to face consultation will need to be cancelled and a video consult be offered as an option.
  • Contactless payment is ideal and can be best arranged via BACS.
  • Preferably only one or two people are able to attend for their pet’s appointment. Please let me know if you need to discuss anything about this rule.
  • Do please speak to me if you have any other queries or concerns before you enter the Clinic.
  • I, Julia Martin at Physio For Pets Clinic, have a Duty of Care to you all. I must take every safety measure that is practical and possible to absolutely ensure our onward health, safety and wellbeing for all at Physio For Pets Clinic, is being maintained.

Many Thanks for your great understanding, patience and support during this time.

My very best wishes to you all

Julia
